Introduction

The department of Economics was established in 2011.

In today's increasingly growing society, the critical role of the subject of Economics and Economists is to identify and suggest remedial measures for multiple problems hindering in socio- economic growth of a society not only in Pakistan but also all over the world

Mission

The Department aims to deliver excellent, stimulating and research - led teaching to develop critical thinking in students. We are not only committed to the development of human resource by imparting quality education but also human values in them to promote a peaceful and harmonious society. The dept is playing a vital role in providing trained and competent human resource that has the capacity to think about economic issues uniquely, to study problems analytically and to craft innovation and operational solutions.

Goals

Keeping in view the present day requirements of the subject, the department has following goals.

1. To provide graduates based on market oriented needs.

2. To promote the opportunities of research and consultancy for local, national and international economics issues.

3. To provide the essential and fundamental knowledge of economics and skills with training of graduates.

4. To develop economic wisdom, innovative thinking with the promotion of ethical values and attitudes for delivering highest standards of education in Economics.

5. To suggest the appropriate economic policies to decipher the economic issues through academic and professional research.
